About A-PLUS
A-PLUS (Anti Plastic Union of Students) is an initiative seeking to make schools across India largely single-use plastic free. A-PLUS is a movement that allows the students to take ownership of the school’s collective responsibility to the planet and to play a leading role in the creation of a system that is truly sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Goals
- Initiate a school-wide plastic reduction plan
- Conduct fundraisers to support the implementation of necessary sustainability measures (example: overcome extra costs conducted while switching from plastics to sustainable materials)
- Develop a roadmap and handbook to creating a more sustainable and plastic-free campus (eg. specific school-wide suggestions, targeted campaign outlines, fundraising plans, and lots more)
